Congressional committees and the trades they oversee

A committee seat gives a member visibility into an industry before the wider market has it. These pages show what tracked members of each committee have disclosed trading in the sectors their committee covers.

Flags are screening signals, not accusations — how the tags work and what they don't mean.

Appropriations appears at subcommittee level — Defense, Energy and Water, Homeland Security and so on — because those subcommittees write the actual spending bills for named sectors, which is a narrower signal than most full committees rather than a broader one. Budget, Rules and Ethics stay excluded: their jurisdiction covers everything or nothing in particular, so an "aligned" flag would fire constantly and mean nothing. Full method · which sector each stock is assigned to.
